Dear Friends,

Together with our family, and the team at South Head, we would like to take this opportunity of wishing you a Happy and Kosher Pesach. May it truly be a Festival of Freedom - a release from the worry and anxiety that so often plagues our lives.

And may this freedom give us the opportunity to experience and enjoy all that life has to offer -
• the extraordinary beauty of our glorious natural world;
• the spiritual harmony of our inner human universe;
• the opportunity to grow through loving and learning;
• the fulfillment that comes from nurturing and mentoring;

so that we can wake each day with the energy and vitality that only a meaningful existence can give us.

And from our individual freedom, may G-d grant a release from worry, and a heightened spiritual sense, to all our Jewish brothers and sisters and to all good men and women everywhere:
• through real tolerance and acceptance of the "other";
• through understanding that what unites us is greater than what divides us;
• through combining the unique contribution of all human beings towards a higher end;

So that we create a synergy so deep and so powerful that it cannot help but catapult us into the Messianic Age that we all so fervently hope for.

With best wishes for a Shabbat Shalom and a Chag Sameach

              Rabbi Benzion and Rebbetzen Henya Milecki

P.S. A final reminder to sell your chametz, if you haven't already done so, by absolutely no later than 9.00am tomorrow morning. Click here to sell your chametz online, but please don't wait for the last minute.

The Jew: Beyond the Natural Order
Rabbi Benzion Milecki

I  wrote this piece some 30 years ago and it's as relevant today (perhaps more so) than when it was first written. If you have time, please print it out, read it and share your thoughts with me. BZ.

The preparation for Pesach, more frenzied than that for all other festivals combined, finds its culmination as family and guests gather around the seder-table. Tranquility and calm replace the mad rush of the previous weeks. Seder (order) has been restored... or so we think. Just as we are ready to commence this much anticipated meal, a tiny squeak is heard from the direction of the youngest of the fraternity. And with the question "Why is this night different? " attention is drawn to the strange assortment of foods and relishes on the table. more...

Like a Loving Grandfather

Tziporah Edelkopf

".. I had a private audience with the Rebbe — me, a little girl — and it was a long audience. I remember the Rebbe’s  secretary opening the door six or seven times to usher me out, but each time the Rebbe held up his hand that it was not yet the time The Rebbe was so nice to me — I remember him like a loving grandfather. He smiled; he expressed interest; he asked me questions. ..."   Full story..
