Marcel Proust famously said: "The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes."

Our newest JLI course, commencing at South Head on Monday night June 16, does precisely that - it opens your eyes to vistas that you didn't believe possible or achievable.

If personal growth and contribution is your life's agenda, you can't afford to step past Paradigm Shift, commencing Monday, June 16.

It will change the way you look at yourself, the people around you, and the world.

The course will address such questions as:

* How can you find the the positive spark in old age, work, struggle - even arrogance, evil and death?

* How can you push your limit, boosting your self-esteem and improving your relationships?

* How can you decipher your unique mission and individual purpose here on earth?

* How can you cultivate leadership within yourself and in others?

* How can you transform failure into the highest form of success?

* How can we open our eyes to the world and see it as it truly is - G-d’s Garden?

We had a fantastic Shavuot with 180 people at our Shavuot Dinner, over 250 people at our Shavuot Forum, and 200 children in Shule to hear the Ten Commandments and participate in the Ice Cream Party on the first day. A very, very big thank you to all who made these events possible, and to you our congregants who supported these wonderful events making them the great success that they were.

On behalf of the Rebbetzin and all of us at South Head, wishing you a Good & Peaceful Shabbos.

Rabbi Benzion Milecki OAM

Brookie Reports

What a FANTASTIC turnout we had at our annual Shavuot ice cream party!

275 children and their parents came to South Head to hear the Ten Commandments, enjoy a puppet show, take part in a soccer tournament and to create their own edible ice cream Mount Sinai's!

A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who helped out Mushkie Sebban, Dasi Kaplan, Gittel Dyce, Rochel Raizel Perlow, Lexi Weinberger, Nicci Schwartz, Kayla Diamond, Tali Miller, Rebbetzin Milecki, Yisrolik Kievman, Yacov Harkham, Reuven Boskila, Isaac Chriqui, Garron Kavonic, and Philip Einfeld from Puppetoons.

Don't forget to book for Camp Shalom if you have not  done so already but hurry because places are almost gone!

We would like to say a big Mazal Tov to one of our volunteers, Nicci Schwartz, on being appointed Captain Moriah College for 2015.

Looking forward to seeing you in Shul and wishing you a Good Shabbos

Burning Question
Rabbi Tuvia Bolton

To get answers, I went to a lot of different rabbis and to a lot of different synagogues. And nowhere did I find answers that satisfied me until 1971, when I met a Chabad chasid. Click here to read the full story.
